Expert Tasks Imo Farmers On All-Year-Crops

FARMERS across the 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State have been advised to cultivate crops that can germinate and grow irrespective of the season of the year.

They were also enjoined to establish agro-based industries to generate revenue for themselves and the state.

Speaking in Owerri, the Acting Programmes Manager of the Agricultural Development Programme (ADP), in the state, Mr. Emmanuel Jonathan, said in these days of diversification in sources of income and revenue, farmers should find suitable ways of embracing agro-based productions and sales for self-sufficiency.

“Our farmers should go into real business and produce. There are too many other things we can produce in the state.
