South African leader defends contested fundraising campaign

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa maintains that his ANC presidential campaign, known as CR17, was legitimate and that there was no misuse of public funds. The South African president answered questions on party funding in parliament after the country's ethics watchdog accused him of having misled Parliament last year over a 500,000-rand (36,000-dollar 32,000-euro) donation to his campaign from a company facing corruption allegations.
