Thousands left homeless as Storm Eloise hits southern Africa

At least half a dozen people are killed and thousands lose their homes in Mozambique in the wake of tropical cyclone Eloise. It compounds the problems of an area that was already devastated by two super storms in 2019. Also, as Africa races to find ways to keep its progress on track whilst also dealing with the obstacles caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the continent is being encouraged to strengthen its digital transformation.
