It is no longer news that the United States opposed the appointment of Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as the next director-general of the World Trade Organization. But there is a good reason why the biggest contributor to the WTO prefers South Korean trade minister Yoo Myung-hee to lead the global trade body.
